This seminar will train you how to audit physician charts and assist you in teaching your physicians accurate documentation.

INSTRUCTOR:
Melody S. Irvine, CPC, CPC-I, CEMC, CCS-P, CPMA, CMRS, AAPC National Advisory Board Member – 2009-2011. Melody has been in the medical field for 30 years and has extensive training in physician auditing. She current holds a specialty level in Evaluation and Management. Melody is also a Certified Professional Medical Auditor with NAMAS and certified PMCC instructor through the AAPC.
Class Agenda: Medicare documentation guidelines and Medicare RAC information and program targets. In depth coverage of History of Present Illness, Review of System, Past, Family and Social History, Examination and Medical Decision Making using ’95 and ’97 audit guidelines. You will be working with actual SOAP notes for practice.
REQUIREMENTS: Students must be proficient in CPT and ICD-9, bring your CPT books.
